:o)

So, it's been close to two months. I guess it's time for a new post.

We finally made it to Colorado. It's actually really awesome! I love being back around a city and getting to look at mountains everyday. I can't believe how much I've miss them. The drive here was MISERABLE!!!!! Sarah did just ok. The dogs did GREAT! Only had one scare and that was in Missouri just north of Springfield. We got caught in a pretty good storm. The rain was coming down so hard you couldn't see three feet in front of your vehicle. Well, once it cleared up we were able to pick up speed again and move along. Well, I was following Matt and all of a sudden, he hits this HUGE puddle. Water shot well over fifty feet in the air. He almost lost control of the Jeep and trailer. My heart sank for like 5 seconds. I was so happy he was able to keep control. If I was driving, yeah, it would have been a different story. I saw the puddle in enough time to slow down and not hit it as hard. That was really the only scary part of the entire trip.

The house here on base isn't too bad. My favorite part is the fact that I now have a laundry room. No more laundry in my kitchen.... YAY!!!! The other good part is that the dogs have a back yard to play in that is fenced in the only down with that, the people that lived here before us, didn't take care of the grass and so now it's just weeds and mud. But we will be changing that. It's only a two bedroom house so we are having to down size a little bit but not too bad. It's actually kind of a good thing. Getting rid of a lot of stuff we don't need. Still trying to decide if I want to do a yard sale or just donate it and get a tax right off. Hm...

Well, here are some pictures. Hope you all enjoy.

Sitting in Daddy's car on a pit stop somewhere in Kansas.
Hey Daddy, guess what?!? The car is now mine!!!
See, Look, all mine!!!!
I'm not liking the guitar too much Daddy.
Oh hey, these are awesome!
LOOK!! I can play all by myself!
Let's see, do I hit it like this?

So Sweet & So Cute!

So, here are a few pictures I've taken. I just had to share. I still can't believe she is going to be 6 months old on Saturday. She has her 6 month well baby check up and shots on Tuesday. I'm not looking forward to the shots but she didn't do too bad last time. Hope she is good this time too.

Things with the move are starting on it's way. I have some things in the house getting fixed tomorrow and then I get to start the big list of things that need to be done. It's going to be one stressful few months. Well, until we are settled into a place in Carson. I honestly can't wait to see some friends of ours that moved out there in June. I've sure missed them! And a good friend that was actually my Vet Assistant teacher in High School is now living in Denver so she will be close, and I just realized there is a lot of cousins that live in Colorado. Might have to just get in touch with them. And then there is the big plus.... We are only 9 hrs away from home. People will be able to come visit us better and we will be able to come home maybe a few times more than we have been able to here. Wow, only about a month away until we are out of here!!!!

Matt will be home in 14 days, well, hopefully, he plans on trying to drive straight through but I don't want him to over do it so we will see. I can't wait to see him again. I know Sarah is missing her "da da". She just started saying the "da" sound about a week ago and has it down packed!
Well, hopefully you enjoy the pictures. These might be the last but I promise I will try to put more up before we move.

Scrunched up against the wall of her crib...
She fell asleep holding on to her soothie. She doesn't really suck on it anymore, just chews on it.
Doesn't it look like she is Praying?
Her newest toy. She LOVES it!!
WOW! THANKS MOMMY!!
Sweet smile, so excited!
She actually squealed when I took this she was so excited.
Yeah, so tired she didn't' even fuss, just fell asleep.
How stinking cute!!!!!!

It's been a long summer.

So, it's been another month and Sarah is just getting bigger and learning new things. She has mastered rolling over and when she gets the chance, rolls everywhere. She started eating solid food on the first of this month. She loves applesauce and carrots. Peas, not so much but will eat them. That's as far as she has gotten with food. I'm thinking either squash next or sweet potatoes. We'll see how I feel when that day comes.

Matt is doing well, he doesn't like it out there much but has found a few friends to hang out with. He has 18 more days and then we get to start our journey to move. I'm excited and can't wait. Other than that, not much else. I've not enjoyed the "single" parent role much. It's very stressful. I get very little time to myself, but I'm going ok. My neighbor has been a huge relief. She is a sweet lady and I'm going to miss her dearly! I wish we would have started talking a lot sooner!

Here are some pictures of Sarah when she was 4 1/2 and 5 months old. Hope you enjoy.

Taz laying next to Sarah. So cute. The dogs are pretty good with her.
She just adores them!
I think she was looking at Taz.
I love when she does this. SO CUTE!!!
Another view. I love how she has her fingers entwined with it.
Sleeps just like me... and if you notice, I love that sleeper she is in!

It's been a while.

Ok I know it's been over 2 months. Crazy crazy here. Some updates.
Matt is back in Ft. Jackson, SC for his new training. He is training to be a paralegal. He just passed on of the hardest test he will have with a 94 % HURRAY!!!
Sarah-wow where to begin. SO much has happened since my last post. She went on her first plane ride to Utah to meet the family. She has had her 4 month check up. She is 24 1/2 inches tall, weighed in at the time at 16 lbs 14 oz but I know for a fact she is well over 17 lbs now. She has learned how to roll over from her back to her belly and belly to back but not as well on that one. She has started sleeping in her crib cause she got to big for the bassinet. So so much more. She had her first cold (which wasn't fun) over the weekend and is still getting over it but doing SO much better than Saturday and Sunday. My neighbor introduced me to Nogin, and believe me, Sarah LOVES it. She has already sat in her swing for 2 hrs just watching the colors and playing with some toys. Here are some pictures I've taken just this month. I will try to post some of the vacation pictures later. We love you all!

She is getting SOO big!

Well, here are some more pictures of Little Sarah. She had her 2 month check up on April 3rd. She weighed in at 11 lbs 15 oz, she is 23 inches and growing like a weed. She also had her first string of shots. She wasn't too happy about that. She had a fever for about a day and a half after words, but is doing better now. She is definitely my little chunky monkey..

I love it when she sleeps - Sweet little angel.
This is 1 of 2 pictures I have of her smiling...

This is our friend Rachael's little stuffed monkey that was made by a friend. It's crocheted and the girl that made it also made an elephant, dog, cat, bear, hippo... they are all so stinking cute!!!

She was holding on to it for dear life! It was SOOO cute!

The other picture of her smiling. YES, this is a little boy onesie but it SOO fit her attitude that day. It says "Hello my name is Cranky Pants". It was the day after her shots... trust me, it fit.

Our duty station is....

OK, so I am completely brain dead. I forgot to mention in my post yesterday about our duty station. We are so excited to be moving to Ft. Carson, Colorado. Our report date is Sept. 10th but I am going to try my hardest to move out there in May with our friends that are also moving out there. I am hoping that the military will let me since his is going off to school and I just want to get out of here and get settled into the new area as soon as possible. I just don't know if they are going to let me. PLUS it's only about 9 hrs away from home. I will be coming home a lot IF I can find some place to stay with my dogs. It's going to be hard on our budget to board them. Other than that, we will be in Ft. Carson in Sept for sure! I'm so excited to see mountains and to be closer to home so I can just drive or even leave on a whim!
Love you all!

More pictures of Little Miss Sarah

Well, here are the pictures finally. Sorry it took so long. Between Matt's surgery and me having a severely infected ingrown toe nail, it's just been kinda hard to sit here and wait for the uploads. Well, Matt's surgery went great. He had a follow up today and the doctor says that it's looking but too early to see everything. He thinks it went well other wise. Sarah is growing like a weed. According to the Wii Fit (courteous of our friends Brandon and Rachael), she weighs 11.5 lbs. Her next appointment is April 3rd. Other than that, we are doing great. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.
This is the Famous Crusty Look she just loves to give everyone and everything. Isn't she just cute!!!

I love how she is holding on to her soothie.

I love her in blue! Yes they are boy clothes too! But they are SOOO cute!!!

She is arching really hard to try and see her daddy.

I love the look here and Taz is just being Mr. Nosey.

Sleeping baby girl.

Snuggling with daddy.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this outfit. Thanks Aunt Xarissa. Sadly she only got to wear it once before she grew out of it.

Another cute outfit I liked her in and can't wear anymore.... gotta love the newborn outfits.

She was startled by something and this is the look I was able to capture.

Timers

So, as you can see, I added some timers to the blog. Matt wanted me to add them so that he has something to look at to tell him how much longer he has to be in the unit he is in and how much longer we have until we leave this base. The date is only a guess as of right now for when we leave Ft. Leonard Wood but when I find out the exact day, trust me, I will update it. We can't wait to leave here!

More Pictures

Here are just a few more pictures I thought you would all enjoy. Some of them might show up on the birth annoucement but I have yet to decide which ones or even the layout of the annoucement yet.
I can't remember if she just sneezed or if she just yawned but it's still cute.

Just thought it was cute how she layed her hand like that.

The jacket has a cute frog on it & this is the rest of the outfit.

Close up & one of my favs.

Just hanging out & actually not screaming while getting a "spit bath" & bum change.
