Sarah Mackenzi Jardine!!

Ok, so I know it's been 11 days but it's been crazy and busy. Here are the long awaited pictures.

Introducing Sarah Mackenzi Jardine.
She was born on Feb. 1, 2009

Little Sarah came out SCREAMING!!!
If you look closely, this is her exact weight. 7 lbs 7.7 oz but on the birth certificate it's 7 lbs 8 oz. She was 20 inches long.

Day #2. The nurse gave her her bath and put this cute little bow in her hair.

At home chilling with daddy watching some tv.

Laying on Nanna's chest with her arms all tucked up. Matt couldn't resist getting the picture.
So to make the story quick but known. We were at our friends house waiting to watch the Super Bowl and all of a sudden my water broke. It was 4 pm. We got to the hospital about 5 (cause our friend lives out in the middle of no where) and I was admitted by 5:30. I got my epidural somewhere in the 8 o'clock hour and at 11:42 pm she made her appearance. Like I said earlier, she came out screaming. She spent most of the night in the warmer only cause she was still trying to figure out how to breath. She did have jaundice pretty good and they helped supplement her for one night with formula to kick start her liver. She is completely healthy now and has her 2 week check up on the 18th. Other than that, we are just slowly adjusting. Nights are hard for me only cause I'm breastfeeding but Matt is nice enough to wake up with me for a minute or 2 and even change a diaper or 2 while I go to the bathroom. We are so grateful to have her with us.
We love you all! I'll try to post more pictures when we have them.

**Sighs**

Well. Still no Sarah but things seem to slowly progress. They were able to get me into the Doctor on Thursday. I am now 3 cm dilated and everything else is still the same. I was having a lot of contractions yesterday but nothing that would let me to go to the hospital (if that makes sense). Today has been a little bit calmer. The doctor told me to come back in on Monday first thing in the morning so she can check me again and we even talked about possible inducing me on the night of the 8th or the morning of the 9th if I haven't had her yet. I'm hoping I don't have to wait that long though.

Well there is a quick update. Matt's buddies keep telling him that he's going to get a Super Bowl baby. I won't protest. I just want her to get here and be healthy!

We love you! Talk with you all soon!

Another update, yet again...

Well, I was suppose to have my 39 week check up today but the Base was shut down due to how bad the weather is. I am going to be calling first thing in the morning to reschedule but don't know what's going to happen. Below are some pictures of me at 38.5 weeks pregnant. Yes, I know, I'm huge. Trust me, I feel it and I'm done with being pregnant. I just wish she would get here already. Other than that, nothing new to report. Matt had today off because of the weather and we are just patiently waiting. Not much of anything really going on. Yeah, I know, SO exciting. LOL. I will do my best to update you when I know more or if something happens.
Have a great day!
Love you all!!

Some updates

Well, Had my appointment today. Went well. They did an ultrasound only because they got a new machine and they needed to be trained on it. Still no idea how big she is but that's ok. I'm guessing she is about 7lbs, but that's just me guessing. She ended up sweeping my membranes and I was shocked to learn that I am 2 cm dilated, in a negative 2 position and about 75% effaced. No wonder my hips and back hurt so bad. Still no contractions that I know of unless that is what all my back pain is. Other than that, we are doing ok. Matt put the crib together yesterday and I did a bunch of laundry and I'm still not even close to being done with it. Gotta wash everything before you can use it (well that's how I was raised and I've been told by many people it's best to do it that way anyway). All of the whites are washed, now I just have to wash her colors and finish her blankets and then catch back up on my everyday laundry. I'll probably end up washing her bedding last only because she isn't going to be in the crib til she is a little older. She is definitely active though. I ended up scaring her last night doing the dishes and all I could do was laugh as I buckled over.... weird feeling... lol. Not much else to report. I'm always tired and I'm getting grumpier by the day but doing pretty good.

I do have one question for everyone. I'm interested in coupon websites and stuff like that. I'd like to start getting into the habit of saving money now that we have a little one. So if we could get some good websites that would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you all have a good day. We will keep you all up to date the best we can. We love you all!

Update

Just a quick update, but first I have to back up a little...

Last weeks doctors appointment, I was only measuring 33 cm. I should have been measuring anywhere from 34-35 cm but I wasn't. They told me to just keep an eye on my pains I was having and if anything was to go wrong to go to labor and delivery. Luckily everything went ok for the week and I was only in massive pain for a few days from over exerting myself on Friday. I've been taking it easy since. So, the update. I had my 36 week check up today and everything was great. I measured at 35 cm so everything is where I'm suppose to be. I've had a few contractions today but nothing serious. They were very mild and far between. I told my doctor and she just said to keep an eye on them. She thinks everything looks fine and to just take it easy. My next appointment is on the 14th and I will try to remember to update you on that one. Til then, we love you and we'll talk to ya later =)

Matthew's Shadowbox

Hey everyone. Matthew has found a pretty cool website. He was able to put in all of his military information on it and his memories. I'm seeing it as a journal type thing actually. I really like the idea. He has worked on it all night and it's slowly starting to come along. Hope it's something you can enjoy.

The baby bump...

Ok so 35 weeks and a few days along... I'm beyond miserable.

Not the greatest picture of me but shows the belly really well.

Other than that, life is just moving along. I'm always uncomfortable but it's to be expected I guess. Matt and I are doing well, and slowly adjusting back to life. Dogs are taking well to the training sessions and I couldn't be happier about it. They are listening so much better. They are enjoying the fact that Matt is sticking around more and are getting use to the "old routine" we had before he deployed.

Well, there's a short update. We love ya all!
